Carina Hodgins is a current B.F.A candidate at California State University, Long Beach. While training in modern, ballet, and jazz, Carina has had the opportunity to work with Rebecca Bryant, Cyrus Parker-Jeannette, Maggie Phillips, Sarah Swenson, and Andrew Vaca. Carina is a recipient of the Department of Dance Scholarship and has been committed to the CSULB Dance Collaborative organization as Vice President for two years. This past fall, Carina served as rehearsal director for Hereafter choreographed by Kim T. Davis, and Flood choreographed by Erin Scheiwe, both restaged for Homecoming: an Alumni Dance Concert. She is constantly working in collaboration on student projects and has previous experience as Production Assistant for the 2014 Contemporary Show. A current teacher at The Dance Company, she is also Pilates certified through BASI. Teaching and the process of creating is something she is passionate about. Carina plans to pursue an M.F.A in Dance while continuing to learn, educate, choreograph, and perform.
