NORTH COUNTY'S PREMIER THEATRE ACADEMY IS HERE! SPOTS ARE LIMITED, SO SIGN UP TODAY! CLASSES BEGIN JAN 2ND
CPAA is dedicated to high quality, well rounded training in all genres of the performing arts. Classes for academy students include acting skills and technique; vocal fundamentals; dance and choreography; and production experience. The academy is designed to give students a chance to work their performing arts skills year round and be ready for larger scale stage productions. Academy students will meet Wednesday 3:30-5:30, and will perform a workshop show every quarter. Quarters are Sep-Dec, Jan - March, April - May. Academy students will also get a chance to perform for our main stage summer production which will be announce in Feb. In addition to our Academy, CPAA will hold classes specializing in Auditioning, Monologue and Scene work, acting for film, TV and Commercials. All students enrolled in the academy will perform in a showcase for talent management and agencies with opportunties to expand their performing arts career under the industries leading representatives. THE ACADEMY PROGRAM (1 DAYS PER WEEK, 2 MONTH COMMITMENT)
THE ACADEMY - ACTING TECHNIQUE (3RD - 7TH GRADE)
Wednesdays | 3:30PM - 5:30PM
Ages 8 - 13 yrs
April-May, The Academy will focus on students receiving training in Acting skills and technique, character development and performance skills, while also exploring character-driven dance styles found in Broadway musicals. The Academy: Acting Technique class will culminate with a showcase where students will present musical numbers and small scenes from various musicals. The Theme for this quarter is Disney on Broadway. You won't want to miss this dynamic class! (COST $155/month)

THE ACADEMY - ELEMENTS OF ACTING (8TH - 12TH GRADE)
Wednesdays | 5:30PM - 7:30PM
Ages 13 - 18 yrs
April-May, The Academy: Elements of Acting is perfect for 8th grade and high school actors of all experience levels that want to explore the fundamentals of theater and hone their craft in a focused setting. Students will work on the following skills throughout class. The course will culminate in a final showcase performance for friends and family combining original and published works! (COST $155/month) Voice and Speech: projection, articulation, and character choices; Movement: characterization in the body ;S cript Analysis: communicating the text of the scene; Monologue and Scene Work: exploring scene work through memorization and performance; Playwriting: developing original ideas by writing your own material

SCENE TO SONG (3RD - 5TH GRADE)

Scene to Song is a Musical Theatre based class that allows students to hone in on their acting, singing and dancing skills with this quarters theme being the musical "Mary Poppins"! Students will learn acting skills and techniques while rehearsing a scene from a musical, which will transition seamlessly into an up-beat musical number, accompanied with live singing and musical theatre choreography. Become a true Triple Threat with this class! (COST $85 per month, or $255 for class program)
