HONK! is a delightful and award-winning adaptation of the 1843 Hans Christian Andersen story The Ugly Duckling, one of the world’s most beloved fables celebrating what makes each of us special. Ugly looks quite a bit different from his darling duckling brothers and sisters. The other animals on the farm are quick to notice and point this out, despite his mother’s protective flapping. Feeling rather foul about himself, the little bird finds himself on an adventure of self-discovery, all the while unknowingly outwitting a very hungry cat. Along the way, Ugly meets a whole flock of unique characters and finds out that being different is not a bad thing. Join us in bringing this heartwarming Stiles & Drewe’s musical to CPAA this spring! (COST $250 per month)

Jan- March, The Academy will focus on students receiving training in Acting skills and technique, vocal fundamentals and choreography as well as ficus on performing in a workshop production of "13". Evan Goldman is about to turn thirteen, and he can’t wait. His life seems full of possibilities -- that is, until his parents get divorced, and he is forced to move with his mom from big-city New York to podunk Appleton, Indiana. If Evan can’t get the coolest kids to come to his bar mitzvah, how is he going to survive the school year, not to mention, the rest of his life? As Evan navigates the world of cool kids and nerds, jocks and cheerleaders, first kisses and heartbreak, he comes to understand “What it Means to Be a Friend.” With a bright, catchy pop score from Jason Robert Brown, equal doses of humor and pathos, and a cast of wildly talented teens, 13 is irresistible to grown ups and almost-grown ups alike. Join us in brining this coming of age story to CPAA. (COST $250)
